The Swiss Cooperation Office in Ukraine is part of the Swiss Embassy in Ukraine. The Swiss Cooperation Office in Ukraine coordinates the program activities within the SDC and SECO cooperation program in Ukraine with the relevant Ukrainian state authorities and other organizations. The Swiss support to Ukraine focuses on Sustainable Economic Development, Sustainable Energy Management and Urban Development, Governance and Peacebuilding as well as Health.
Together with Nestle Ukraine and the Swiss Cooperation Office in Ukraine, Sumy NAU actively holds meetings, conferences and seminars, as well as implements the following project:
Advancing sustainable agriculture in Ukraine – 360 farm evaluation and participatory strategy development (RISE)
In 2020, Sumy NAU in cooperation with Bern University of Applied Sciences, supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC and LLC “Nestlé Ukraine” started a new project “Advancing Sustainable Agriculture in Ukraine” (duration: 2020-2022), which aims to test the model for enhancing sustainable agricultural production in Ukraine and deduce an upscaling concept.
Projects’ activities are expected to lead to the following results:
- Sustainable farm management is applied by selected farmers.
- A business model for sustainable farm advisory services is created.
- Information about the benefits of sustainable agriculture is widely shared.
