STEP 1. Familiarization with the programs
Choose the desired specialty, educational program (add link), and educational degree:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s / PhD
- Preparatory department (language study)
STEP 2. Application
Send scanned copies of the following documents to the center’s email:
- Passport
- Document on previous education with an appendix (certificate/diploma)
- Translation of documents (in Ukrainian or English)
- Consent to the processing of personal data (form will be provided)
Note: Documents must be notarized
STEP 3. Registration in the Unified Interdepartmental Information System of Ukraine
Register in the Unified Interdepartmental Information System of Ukraine (https://apply.studyinukraine.gov.ua/) to receive an invitation to study.
After registration:
- Upload the required documents:
- Select Sumy NAU as your preferred university
- Follow the status of the application processing
After confirming your application, an electronic invitation to study will be generated, valid for up to 6 months.
STEP 4. Visa application and legalization of documents
Apply to the Ukrainian embassy in your country to obtain a type D visa and legalize educational documents.
STEP 5. Arrival in Ukraine / Remote admission
After receiving a visa:
- Come to Sumy NAU to take the entrance exams or
- Take the entrance exams remotely (with video recording)
When crossing the state border of Ukraine for the first time and upon arrival at Sumy NAU, the foreigner submits the original documents in person.
In the case of remote admission, the foreigner sends legalized or notarized copies of documents on previous education by mail to the educational institution (SNAU).
STEP 6. Enrollment
After successfully passing the exams:
- An enrollment order is formed
- Your data is entered into the Unified State Electronic Database on Education
- You receive an official certificate of study
STEP 7. Registration of a residence permit
- The Center for Work with Foreign Students helps you submit documents to the State Migration Service of Ukraine
- You receive a temporary residence permit in Ukraine (for the period of study)
STEP 8. Settlement and adaptation
- Settlement in a dormitory
- The Center for Work with Foreign Students helps to submit documents to the registration department of the Center for the Provision of Administrative Services
Enrollment of foreign applicants for study at the expense of individuals and/or legal entities can be carried out:
1) twice a year (until November 1) within the terms specified in the Admission Rules for obtaining bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD
2) during the year of study at the preparatory department
The documents on the education of foreigners, who have been enrolled in studies, issued by educational institutions of other countries, undergo the procedure of recognition in Ukraine in accordance with the legislation. Based on the results of the recognition procedure, the educational institution makes a decision to continue the foreigner’s studies at the level corresponding to the results of the recognition procedure, or to expel the foreigner.
In the event that the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine or a higher education institution makes a decision to refuse to recognize the provided document about the obtained educational level, including due to its inauthenticity, the educational institution will exclude such a foreigner.
